What to do with these green onions

So my dad's neighbor gave him a sack of radishes and green onions and since I'm real new, I wondered if these onions could be stuck back in the dirt? Are they like herbs where you can snip off what you need?

Never done that.
Give it a try. Should work if the roots aren't to far gone.

If they haven't already been dried, sun-dry them for a few days. Just braid the tops together and they will be great to use in recipes for awhile. (Assuming they have some bulb to them as opposed to scallions). I cut them up all the time to put on my sandwiches.

I don't know anything about re-planting them.

Going out on a limb here, it's late and I had "ONE" beer earlier. But I think they would not set bulbs very well but rather bolt and go to flower. I would just eat them.

Best thing to do would be to get a sack of fresh lettuce and make a salad. 8)

I am with gixxerific, eat them.

Yes, if you plant them, they will grow. You can eat any part of an onion at any stage of its development.

Thanks for all the replies. Maybe some even got a good laugh out of it.
