Leek Question

Last year was my first year trying LEEKS -- I had some leeks in the garden last fall that were to tiny to be much good for anything and were never taken out of the ground and now they appear to be growning back - are they going to be good or will they just go to seed? Should I pull and start over of or just let them grow?

I had something similar happen a few years ago with Kale that started to grow back because I never took it out of the soil in the fall. The second year it didn't have a good flavor and just started to flower and go to seed.

Leeks like a cool, wet and long growing season. 120 + days.
The base or root will regrow.
When you but them in the store you can cut off the bottom and start them for a new plant.

You can also start garlic plants from the garlic you but in the store.
I have some growing now from a garlic bulb I bought for cooking.
