I really like Wikipedia. You are more likely to get some good info backed up with research, rather than someones opinion, which is what often shows up on a Google search. I have searched Google before and got many answers that were posts on some forum. Not that this is necessarily bad, but as you well know on forums, you can ask and if ten answer you have ten opinions. When I do search Google, I look at the urls to see if any come from a university or USDA. These will be the ones I open.

May I make a caution here? Lime is a caustic substance. It can damage your plants. That is why it is advisable to apply in the fall.
