I planted onions today. I hope it is not too early.

I planted onions today. I hope it is not too early. I have 6 rows with about 25 bulbs in each row about 4" apart. 2 rows of white onion, 2 rows of red onion, 2 rows of yellow onion. I covered them with about 2" of compose/soil mix then about 5" of pine needles in a raised bed identical to my garlic. It was 65 degrees today and it is going to be 65 all week and in the low 30s at night. This is a freak warm period it will get cold again.

Onions are pretty cold hardy. They should do fine.

Be careful not to plant too many. I've got about 100+ onions growing and I don't know what to do with them all.

Lesson learned: Make sure no one else plants veggies in YOUR garden.
