May all be blessed with family/friends, food on the table and some gifts.

And remember, the days are inching up longer, the gardener in all of us has a special twinge!

Hmmm, Winter Solstice yesterday! Does that mean the days will be getting longer now?

We are also expecting up to 14 inches (which is a lot around here) by tomorrow morning. About 8~10 in. on the ground already! 8)

...good thing MIL sent us home with two boxes of food! In addition to left-overs, she had made ahead for us to take home a huge casserole of sauerkraut and pork and 3 quarts of borscht base (just heat and add heavy cream), several links of Polish kielbasa, two huge loaves of rye bread, etc., etc., etc. -- I won't describe them all  We're ready to be snowed in! :D

Are you snowed in applestar?

Here it is snowing and blowing again today.

The weatherman says maybe up to 15 inches of snow coming.

Not in reality, no. :>
HOWEVER :x The township-hired snowplow came around, buried the mailbox and the mail courier is apparently refusing to deliver mail.

We haven't had any additional snowfall, but the snow has hardly melted since it's been subfreezing ever since, though the sun did come out. It's currently 19, no, 18°F.

We've finished the almost all of MIL's supplies and only a few servings of poppyseed cake, cheesecake and browny cake remain, but DH came home today with Alaskan King Crablegs he ordered through his crab-guy. We're good
