Last harvest

I got my last harvest on Sat Nov 6th and then took apart the garden then I ran over the plants with the tractor and Bushhog mower. I will till it up and plant clover soon.

Last of the peppers, beats, corn, cabbage, leaks and parsly.

Must be a sad day for a gardener. I consider myself blessed to have such good fall/winter weather to be able to continue gardening all year round. I get antsy when one of my rows are vacant between crops.

Monday this past week I pulled all my soybean plants (about 75 in all) and turned the soil to plant seeds for purple muzuna, beets and a bit of bunching green onions but it rained for the next 2 days. I couldn't wait till I could work the soil to plant the seeds and did so by Friday. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I had to wait months to plant again.

That's a lot of bell peppers to cut and freeze for later use. Do you pickle the others or make relish out of them?

Nice harvest. You really did get a lot of peppers. How many pepper plants did you have?

It looks like Jal_ut wasn't looking when you stole his wagon. You had better get it back to him before he gets mad  .

I got the peppers of of about 6 or so of my plants G5.

Yes I love that little wagon, we use it for every thing from the garden to bringing in firewood and things from shopping trips. It also has a bar so you can tow it behind your riding lawn mower.

What kind of pepper plant produced those long peppers? The look like large, green banana peppers.

gumbo2176, I'm with you, glad I live in the south so I can grow all year round, I have tomatoes, green peppers, all sorts of salad greens , onions, cucumbers and such growing. I think my veggies all like the cool winter weather better than the fall.
