Black eyed peas

This Spring we were shelling some Florida black eyed peas and threw some in the garden and had a wonderful crop this summer. I was wondering if anyone knew if I dry the final small crop, can I use them for seed next spring? Thanks for any advise

Yes. If you leave them on the plant until they get really mature you will have better seed. I usually leave them until the pods dry up. Then pick, shell and dry them a bit more.

I have some I need to go pick, but its raining. I guess we will get some more sunshine before it gets too rainy?
