Looks like the start of powdery mildew to me. I would try treating with a solution of 10% milk in water put in a garden sprayer. Apply every 5-7 days.

Very common problem :)

Hmmm....the pictures are kind of blurry, but it almost looks kind of like sunscald to me. Is it like a powdery substance the rubs off or is like dry-dead patches? In the case of the latter, it sounds like scorching. Did you harden the plants off before you put them outside?

Harden off plants? don't know what that is. don't think they are sun scorched though, they only get hit for about 3 hrs a day.

G'day MiamiGreen,

Watering at ground level only usually helps, as water left on the leaves
can cause leaf burn when the sun hits them.

Harding off is when you gradually bring your seedlings into a harsher
climate or you could use shade cloth too after transplanting etc, till the
plant gets established.

Happy gardening
