I would like to know too. I have some seedlings that have some of those spots.

I can't tell from the picture, are the spots black or purple?

Are you growing a Purple Bell Pepper? I have several Purple Jalapenos growing and the leaves all have purple spots like that, and parts of the stem are purple as well. Must have something to do with the coloring.

Hi!
The spots are black. I have some purple on the stems, but the spots on the leaves are black. And it's a red bell pepper

Any ideas?

I'm not sure... I looked it up, and found no pepper disease that looks like that.

Your leaves look pretty healthy, despite the weird black coloring.

Maybe it's just a discoloration disorder, and nothing to worry about?

Hopefully somebody who's more knowledgeable with peppers can chime in?

Maybe it has something to do with the red pigment for the red peppers?

Here's what the leaves on my Purple Jalapeno look like:

I don't think firstimegardener's leaves are falling off, or have those burn hole looking marks on them. At least not what I see in the picture posted.

The leaves look pretty healthy, they just have some dark pigment or something in them.

I've had the same thing on some of my pepper plants as well, especially when they were in the seedling stage. I don't think you have to worry.

Thanks everyone for thinking.
I'm not so much worried about the plants as I am curious about what it is......

I'll have to keep looking around...Figure if they aren't dying it cant be to bad, right?
