Cukes & Corn

I just got back, last Friday, from a week of vacationing in Greenup Kentucky. My Mother-in-law was in charge of watering the garden and took it upon herself to harvest a cucumber and place it in my fridge. I was upset at first 'cause I had be watching it grow and wanted to pluck it myself.

Anyhoo, I am over that and she made amends and that's cool. I was able to grab 4 more and still have some on the vine.

The corn was doing great until squirrels torn into them. I managed to get 2 ears.

The one that is open is missing some kernels due to the little buggers.

Oh well, the misses and I are still having fun gardening and today we spent an hour weeding and pulling up the corn stalks. We will probably plant some peas for the Fall. It's good to be home :D

You might want to thank her instead.
I don't know how long you were gone, but usually, a "watched" Cuke is an "un-useable large bitter seed-ridden yellow behemoth" within a day or two.

I was only gone a week and I figured the cuke would be ready when I got back. It's all good, I still love her.
