How much longer for my carrots? Pics attached!

About 18" in length from top of the leaf to the tip of the carrot. It tasted a bit "green" but not bad at all. How much longer should I wait? Thanks!

Normally this is the point at which I start thinning and eating the thinnings; I'd say you're about 4-5 weeks from nice, big ones.

They are looking good. I like to harvest the Nantes varieties around the 6" sizes. Like Lorax said, about another month.

Take heart, I had the same thing happen to me last year. I did 3 plantings, I left them in the ground for 6 months. Before the ground froze, I pulled them ALL out and they all looked like yours. Of the 2 types of carrots, long thin ones and short fat ones, I later heard that you plant the long thin ones in sand. I was so upset that I decided NOT to plant carrots this year.
good luck !

Actually, you could eat them right now.

What variety are they? If they're the long type, they can keep going, provided your soil is soft enough and the patch is thinned enough.

However, if they're the half-long varieties, they won't be getting much larger.
