My first Cuke!

I know, everyone else probably already has lots of picked cucumbers, but I am still excited for mine! I've never grown cucumbers before so it's all new to me. I have TONS of tiny cukes on the vine now, but this is the first one I thought got to a good size for picking. I am hoping to turn some of them into pickles. Is this one a good size for pickling? Bigger? Smaller? We like crunch pickles. Thanks!

That is a good size for eating fresh or sliced pickles. I like smaller ones pickled whole. It doesn't matter whether comes late or early...you've got to be proud of the first harvest. :)

That's agood looking cuke. :)

We picked ours too, sliced them and put them in vinegar.

Our first was around the last week of June. (I started way earlier than I probably should.) and now we got several growing. Whatever we get now will rpbably be it. The SVB's are attacking them like crazy. :(
