My first Cuke!

I know, everyone else probably already has lots of picked cucumbers, but I am still excited for mine! I've never grown cucumbers before so it's all new to me. I have TONS of tiny cukes on the vine now, but this is the first one I thought got to a good size for picking. I am hoping to turn some of them into pickles. Is this one a good size for pickling? Bigger? Smaller? We like crunch pickles. Thanks!

That is a good size for eating fresh or sliced pickles. I like smaller ones pickled whole. It doesn't matter whether comes late or early...you've got to be proud of the first harvest.

That's agood looking cuke.

We picked ours too, sliced them and put them in vinegar.

Our first was around the last week of June. (I started way earlier than I probably should.) and now we got several growing. Whatever we get now will rpbably be it. The SVB's are attacking them like crazy.
