Sawflies!

Anyone ever have any garden damage from sawflies? I've been watching a number of solid black wasp looking things in my garden. They typically would sit on a cucumber leaf or squash leaf and then fly away. I thought maybe they were some form of predatory wasp looking for bugs on my plants. I finally identified them as sawflies which lay eggs on the under sides of garden leaves. The eggs result in tiny larva which eat the edges of the leaves away. I haven't been able to identify any plant damage from them, but they are there.

Ugh! They are the worst on my roses, raspberries, some on blackberries and strawberries. Also destroyed my Chard and Beets.
