brussel sprouts

when you pick the sprout do you take the stem & leaf off also ?

road past a garden the other day and it looked as if they had did this I have never plucked the leafs be for and had no problem

but I am knot the sharpest tool in the shed

may be I am missing a trick or two

I don't take the leaves off my Brussels Sprouts either.

Supposedly removing the leaves will accelerate harvest, but the way I see it is this: the more leaves a plant has, the more photosynthesis and the more overall growth.

I don't like the idea of removing healthy plant leaves either.

Personally, the only time I like to remove the leaves of a plant is to eat them (I.e. lettuce, spinach, chard), improve air circulation (tomatoes), or prevent the spread of disease (unfortunately, also tomatoes).
