what's eating my rhubarb?

Here is my rhubarb I planted this spring - my first time planting rhubarb. Any ideas on what's eating them?

I suspect I didn't condition/feed the soil properly before planting. What can I do now? Dig in some rotted compost around the plants? Compost tea?

That's pretty serious  I would be looking for a fat and happy slug. Spread a little Sluggo bait.

I like both of your ideas. :D

I had a major attack on my rhubarb. Turned out, it was ants! Yes, ants eating the leaf. I'm sure slugs played a role also, but the main culprits were ants. I didn't do anything about it, and they seem to have left now. Maybe it's too hot! 8)
