What to plant this late in the season.

I am in the process of constructing two new garden beds. They are 4 x 9' in length. One is going to get around 6 hrs max of morning - early afternoon sunlight. The other will get around 8-10 hrs of hot afternoon sun.

My situation is that I would like to plant a variety of vegetables this late in the season in these two new beds. Any suggestions? Too late for corn?

I'll just be buying starts from the local nursery at this point. Thank's in advance.

Well you could start some artichokes, snap beans, beets, corn, parsnips, maybe even some squash, but it all depends on your area and the temps too.

How many growing days do you have left? Do you get frost? When is your average first frost? That would determine what you can plant. If you don't get frost, then it'll depend on how hot the weather will stay and for how long before cooler weather arrives.

It has been averaging 90+ degrees during the day and around 60+ at night. We are at 5K ft abobe sea lvl. Mostly dry conditions.

I'll take a look a what you suggested.
