Hi Guys
Hope someone here can help - either with advice or some good links where I can get decent advice.
The site I live on used to be an allotments and there are still some allotments adjucent to our estate. I have contacted the local authority who tell me there are plots available so I am hoping to take one over in the next couple of weeks.
Problem is I'm a newbie with growing my own veg - so before I go and purchase a book can any one give me advice on the best veg to grow in the UK - and when do I need to start planting.
Also whats the first thing I need to do once I have cleared my plot?
any help will be greatley appreciated.
Steve

Looking at your next 4 day weather forcast, looks very similar to Western Washington.
I think the next step would be a garden layout plan.
Study your sun and shade patterns.
Raised beds or flat plot. Raised beds on contour.
Have the soil tested.
Fencing
Water source
