What are these buggers?

Hanging out on my zucchini leaves? They look threatening but the leaves seem okay.

You don't want them in your garden . Both the adults and young suck fluids and spread disease. I plant four or five squash plants every year and have to rotate picking/spraying between them or the squash bugs kill my plants.

An old trick is to put down some boards around your squash plants. Check under them every day and kill the bugs you find hiding there. you'd be surprised how many you can get this way.

Thanks for the replies, would you know if Neem is effective against them?
