Cabbage and Broccoli Harvest =)

Just thought I would share what I harvested today in the rain (wish it would quit for now). I'm lucky I didn't get a whole lot of flooding, because of the raised beds. The cabbage is a Napa cabbage and the broccoli is Decicco. I will have to get some pics of the strawberries growing, the yield has doubled from last year. Also I can't wait until my orange cauliflower is ready, its doing so well. Also I need to get out their and harvest some salad greens, they are going bonkers with all this rain! What is everyone else harvesting.

I noticed eggs all over them and some green caterpillars, so I knew I needed to harvest them today, glad I did....no harm was done to them.

That is some great looking cabbage, what are your culinary plans for them if I may ask?

Thanks guys! I think today for supper I will make Lion's Head Stew...its a Shanghi dish. I've always liked Asian cooking. So so good, I remember when Ming Tsai made it a few years ago. If you guys have some Napa growing you have to try this dish. I've put a little twist on it and make it more of a soup I also add 1/4 cup fish sauce to it. Sooo good.

For the rest I might make some Kimchi, its a Korean sauerkraut. As for the others I have, I don't have plans yet :). The thing about Napa is its mustardy and sweet in the middle. If I make just original sourkraut I will use savoy or something similar I have growing.

As far as the weather goes, it didn't seem to phase the napa in the slightest... :)

I'm so jealous seeing people harvest things already! I know I'm almost there with certain things (romaine lettuce, chard), but it feels like it's been forever and day!

Great looking veggies there though... even if I am a wee bit unhappy.

Withe the three you mentioned, you could always harvest as micro-greens and put them in a sandwich.
