Disease in cucumber plant

Hello all!

Wondering if someone knows what's going on and can give me some advise! :)

Our cucumbers plants started to develop some sort of disease, the leaves have yellow/brown dots that eventually turn into cracks, leaving the plant full of holes. It rained almost every day during the past week, and it seems like it got worse with the wet weather.
The plants are growing and some have flowers already. We grown our cucumbers in tomato cages, off the ground.
The same things now is happening to out zucchini and summer squash plants.

Any help would be very appreciated! :D

(I'm trying to figure out how to post pictures, as soon as I found out I'll post some! thanks!)

In the mean time, see if this helps.

Thanks a lot for both links!

Eric, I've seen that page you sent and my guess would be Anthracnose or Angular Leaf Spot? Any suggestions for control? Would a broad spectrum fungicide help?

The first picture is from one of my summer squash plants, and the second is from one of the cucumber plants.

Again, thank you!

I usually don't have many problems with my cucumbers, but my squash usually succumbs to powdery mildew late in the season.

Looking at both angular leave spot and anthracnose, they both seem to be caused by warm, wet conditions. Try keeping water off the plant's leaves by bottom-watering them.

Even though I water with a soaker hose, because of the humidity we have in Alabama I have had problems with powdery mildew on my cucumber and squash leaves. I use neem oil and it works very well. Because of past problems I have been using neem oil as a preventive and so far (crossing fingers) I have not had any problems this year.

saku - I too, have problems with powdery mildew each year - but only from late July to August. I use copper fungicide for mine, and it works "ok"

I've heard that the milk-water solution used as a foliage spray works good for the PM, too. But I'm not certain if it's better used as a treatment of as a preventative. Also, there seem to be varying opinions on the dilution ratio, as well.
