Buy a rhubarb plant from a nursery. Sometimes the Big Box stores will have them too. You need to dedicate a spot for it at least 5 feet diameter. They do get large. Full sun. If you have room get two. They are easy to grow. Fertile soil, mulch etc.Your rhubarb looks nice too.. I was wondering if you had advice on starting a rhubarb plant?

The weather has been so cool here that things are really lagging behind. The squash and corn are finally having a growth spurt.

The chard has gone to seed.

Turnips. I planted corn close to the turnips thinking the turnips would be done soon.

The peas may make it yet. Usually they are ready by June 10. Things are sure slow this year.

But I am a little boy. Unfortunately, I seem to be captive in a tired, worn out old body.......................Jal, don't be offended -- you look SO cute with your bowlful of strawberries! I swear you look like a little boy.
John, I have a large family. They have all flown the nest. I grow much more than the wife and I need. The kids get some. Neighbors and friends get some. I sell a little bit at the farmer's market. That is a social event. One never makes any money at it.
Next year, I am going to cut the veggie garden in half. (Every time my wife hears me say that, she just giggles............ ya, ya.........)
