green bean plants Harvest time

I planted half runners this year. Man these plants are taking off. I had to go out today & run another string higher to let the runners climb on. they are now three feet high. I hope when they start producing I get a lot of beans off of them.

Got these this evening 6/18/10

grease monkey,

What do you mean by half runners :?: If you are talking about Scarlet runner beans. They can easly get 7 to 9 feet tall.

Sorry, had to look this one up. A bush bean variety that grows 24 to 36 inches tall. Probably like most green beans, go easy on the nitrogen. You will have lush plant and low yield.

Post some pictures of beans soon. :D
