Check out my peppers!

I bought a jalapeno pepper plant and 6 cayenne pepper plants and put them in a clay pot, and here it is! This is day 2 (the jalapeno was already pretty big when I bought it)

Wow!! Did the Jale...have fruit on it when you bought it? Looks healthy to have survived a transplant that big. Can you call something that bites you like a jalapeno a fruit?

Also, the pot seems small for that many plants, unless the ceyene can droop over the sides for its room. Anyway, enjoy!!

I have several pepper plants that I started from seed.....that is not an easy task for some peppers, but they are growing pretty good. I put a couple of jalapeno plants in among my tomatoes to "ward off evil spirits". I had a tough time with tomatoes last year.

That's crazy crowded, but fun

Its not only air space, it's root run that is important.

Should I take out some of the cayenne peppers? Would it be okay if I had the jalapeno + 1 cayenne on each side of it?

What should I do!?!

Personel, I would only have the Jalapeno in there, and plant the rest in 2 gallon pots. One pepper per pot. I'm not a container grower, so hopefully someone else will help.
