So I transplanted 36 good size tomatillos yesterday. Today, I cleaned out the duck house and put the bedding around the plants. I left about a 6" ring of open soil around each plant. I'm thinking these tomatillos are going to grow like crazy or croak from to much love. The bedding stinks to high heaven.
So what do you think

Salsa verde, Yum! I sell a few pounds of quince to a mexican restaurant owner. Maybe he will be interested in local organic tomatillos.
Tomatillos should do ok here. I'll be using this old carport frame as a low tunnel. Cover it with plastic.

lg in ny,
Nature can be expelled with a fork, but nevertheless always returns
Thank you, I received two of these frames from neighbors after a wind storm. No legs, but perfectly good top frames. My plan is to have both of them up and covered with greenhouse film by fall.
