Garden progress - pics

Well, since everyone else is posting pics, I thought I'd join the crowd.

Here's the bed in the back corner of the yard. I'll be adding black eyed peas, okra and two kinds of cukes when the peas come out.

Good job, jmoore. My tomatoes are behind you by a week or ten days. You have some beautiful plants there.

Haven't picked anything but peas yet. Those are the first cowhorns. I'm hoping they are a little hotter than bell peppers. :( I like the heat!

Looking great JM! You're really ahead of me, I just got my pepper plants in the ground the other day. Hopefully I have a better pepper year this year than last.

The tomatos in the pics are probably doubled in size now. And there are three others coming in on that plant.

Last night I planted some okra in the empty bed in the first pic. I'll probably pull the peas this weekend and plant some cukes in their spot to grow up the trellis and put a few black eyed peas in front. That should be about it for the planting for me for a while.

Now if I could just start harvesting some more stuff, I'd be golden.

Looking really good jmoore. My Brandywine's have a few small fruit on them so maybe we will luck out and they will be productive here. Good luck with the garden. It looks like you have a great start.

Looks great! I can't wait to harvest more then just radishes. Although they sure are good.

I noticed some small flowers on the Brandywines this morning. I'm hoping they produce as well. As good as that bed is doing, I'm cautiously optimistic. With the heat this week, I need to get some mulch on the soil soon. That will help.

I found out a few weeks ago that my neighbor across the street has a big garden too. They are growing a lot of squash and green beans. They gave me a big handful of squash last week and it was fantastic. I gave them some yard long bean seeds to tryout. Hopefully we can swap tomato varieties this year. With that bed visible from the street, it's amazing the people who stop and ask me about the garden. After one year gardening, somehow I've become the defacto veg garden expert in the neighborhood. Little do they know

Looking good Jmore. I like your setup. It is all easily assessable something I am not doing so well but it works for me.

Good find on you neighbor too. Swap it up. I have been supplying 6 of my neighbors and some more friends with this and that.
