I think over here or rather my house is a wee bit too hot for vegetables. Any advice? I know long beans and ladies fingers are easy to plant at my side garden but when it comes to leafy vegetables it does not grow easily.
Sometimes you can "cheat" the seasons a bit by providing some shade for the crops that like cooler weather.
Also, shop for seeds of lettuce types that are "heat tolerant".
Sometimes you can rig up floating row covers, which are just extremely transparent pieces of cloth, over your garden to give it some shade. If you do a Google search on "floating row covers" or "shading sunny garden" you should get some great ideas.
