Thank you Ms_Broken_Angel. I picked up a lot of great info on this site and put it to use.

I've got some great notes for next year and so far, so good this season. Starting on a heating pad in the peat pellets and then moving them under the lights has been a great experience and very, very productive.

Glad to hear you have started flowers and wildflowers as well. That has been a great headstart as well.

I used the square foot gardening model for the raised beds, but I pulled all the info from the net, various users' trials and errors, and some common sense. So far they are producing great looking transplants, easy to weed, and great for moisture control.

We'll see if the survive the 65 mph winds and 3 inch hail that is bearing down on us!!

All the containers are in the garage. At least they are safe.

Good luck to you!!!

After the "storm", I noticed dozens of snails near the porch where some of my containers are kept.

Could snails be the cause of some of the holes in leaves I am experiencing? Would the treatment be the same?
