Rather snowy this morning. That is shallots in the foreground.

Onion seedlings. No, the snow didn't bend them over like that, they emerge that way.

Peas in the snow.
I planted on April 12. This is the fourth time this stuff has been snowed on.

I'm getting heavy snow right now and have been for the last few hours in western New Mexico at 7300 feet altitude. It's not sticking but we're supposed to get a half inch tonight. I planted peas a week later than you did and this is their third snow. Saturday morning it was 20 degrees. I had the peas covered and they seemed to come through okay. Will it ever be spring??

No snow here just lots of water. We have a flood in Tennessee. I got 11" of rain in 7 hours yesterday from about 11 am to about 6 pm. Got 2" more today so far. Water 2" deep has been running across my garden like a river so far no problem. Several confirmed places in or near Nashville got 15" or rain yesterday. All 3 interstates were closed yesterday. I-24 is still closed today it is under 5 ft of water. Check out the 600+ photos on this facebook link.

I repaired the garden hose, few spring rains, can't y'all share the wealth? It did turn off nice and sunny, great day to work outside... it hit 70 today, no heat, no fan, no a/c and no wind blowing! Perfect day, after the chilly start.
Milking stand is built and another bed laid out in the garden! Pretty productive day!

We had a ton of rain today, but tomorrow is supposed to be perfect, 80 and sunny.
Our house came with central air, but we have never turned it on. We use a whole house attic fan to suck the heat out of the house and pull in cool night air and window fans to circulate it. Works great as long as there is cool night air. When you get to Aug and the nights don't go below 90, we do occasionally break down and shut ourselves in the bedroom with a window AC to sleep.
But I HATE closing the windows. The house is shut up all winter, and I can hardly wait for spring to come so we can open everything up again. I'd rather be hot with fresh air...
