I planted fennel seeds today...

I planted fennel seeds today mainly because I love the smell of it. Never really ate it though does any one have any recipes? I am using it as a back drop for some small zinnias...edible landscaping I guess, not the ainnias though.

I never grew it, but I buy it from farmers market - I love bulbs - use them raw in salads-the trick is to grate them or slice them very thin- then they taste very sweet and subtle.
I also add some leaves to my juices.

There are TONS of uses for fennel, it can be added in so many different dishes so many ways!
There are websites that let you search recipes based on ingrediants which would help you find some great ones. If I ever get any ambition today I'll dig out my laptop and tell you their actual names
I'm the meanwhile, my mom adds fennel to fried cabbage YUM
