Seems like a pretty broad general question. What are you wondering about 4 season gardening?

Three season gardening is not difficult. Winter gardening takes dedication, experience, and equipment.

Three season gardening is mostly a matter of paying attention to what plants like what conditions and doing succession planting.

Start by planting cool weather crops as early in the season as you can (which was awhile back). If you put peas, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, spinach in, in March, by June-ish they will be about done. I put broccoli in the bed where my tomatoes go, but earlier. About the time the tomato plants are getting big, the broccoli gets pulled. As things get done, fill in the spaces with warm weather crops, beans, squash, melons, cukes. Late in the season start the early season stuff over again for a fall crop. Voila 3 season gardening.

In the winter stay indoors and make Christmas presents and enjoy the holidays and in January start your first seeds indoors under lights for the winter gardening part! :)

A hobby greenhouse will take care of three of the seasons. The photos are in early march. John
