What about string beans?

I planted pole beans and now they are over 6 inches and falling over. their leaves are also showing some signs of stress and the stems on some are starting to brown. They still all look healthy enough and they are outside with the rest of my 'crop' every day. I want to plant them tomorrow (can't today they said it would go down to 38 tonight). Is it OK??

38 is a bit scary, but won't hurt the beans. If it happens to go to 32 your beans will be damaged. Maybe wait another day or two and see if it warms up a bit? It would be good to plant them soon. When is your avg last frost?

Could get a frost in early may (like last year). I'll only plant the heartier stuff now. thanks!
