Miracle Grow planting mix killed my peas!

It was responsible for all of my sugar snap peas dieing, and nearly put me in the hospital.

It was on sale at the dollar store, stacked out front. The cashier wanted a bag up on the counter to scan it. Against my better judgement I picked it up (wet and heavy), pinched a nerve in my lower back, spent a week in bed on pain killers and couldn't move enough to plant my peas, which had been soaking to pre sprout them. By the time I got up and around enough to plant the peas they were done for.

YOU ARE BAD!!! You KNEW the thread title was cleverly done.
I sure was curious to find out what changed your perspective. :o
'S alright. Sorry about the peas, but they were *only* peas. I know you'd get up no matter what to keep your tomatoes going. :>

My last potting mix wasn't so heavy, it contained about 25% styrofoam beads. But I guess all in all that is no different for the environment than using organic potting mix in styrofoam/plastic cups, pots or trays.

Good one . It looks like the MG will get you one way or the other .

Hope you have a speedy recovery and get your next set of peas in the ground.
