Direct seeding in the evening

I'm late for planting peas here in zone 6A according to the board. According to a planting guide by last frost that I found online, this is when I should be direct seeding. I think I'm going to give it a shot, but I'm wondering if it's OK to plant in the evening after work. I'll have to water, and the forecasted low tonight is 47. Does that matter?

nope. I would recommend soaking the peas over-night in tepid water to give them a jump start on germinating.

shaefins,

Go for it. Just be sure to read them a bedtime story before putting them to bed. Garden Bed.  Yes wet the bed to. Now I'm just being silly. :P
