Strawberries?

:D Okay so my strawberry plants just arrived Fri, but I do not have my garden ready for them yet. Can I store the plants in the fridge until I am ready to plant or will that hurt them. ??? What is the best way to store them until I can get them planted.

Thanks in advance

I've stored plants in the veggie crisper for at least a month or longer and the plants held up quite well. Best to plant them as soon as possible, but the fridge will work just fine. I didn't do anything special with mine, just left them in the plastic bag bound with rubber bands.

You can also pot them up and then unpot them later. It would give them a bit of a head start on sprouting. These are dormant roots, right?

Thanks for the ideas. It must have been too early for my brain to be thinking this morning, potting them up would be a great idea, I have plenty of soil and pots, just not garden space ready for them yet.

What if it is still freezing overnight, should I keep them inside for now?
