Is my horse manure too fresh??

My community garden has a free pile of house manure form a local stable. it's golf-ball size turds in alot of saw dust. My soil was depleted so I turned alot of this manure and sawdust into the soil and immediately planted vegetables. Will this uncomposted horse manure "burn" or inhibit growth of my veggies? thanks.

Horse manure is one of the lower providers of nitrogen as far as most conventional manures are concerned. It may burn your vegetables but, I would assume that you would be okay.

The size of individual feces pieces will slow the release of nitrogen into the surrounding soil as well so, that will buffer against any burning.
