I've got red & Chinese cabbage, collard greens, onion, garlic, carrots, beets, spinach, lettuce, pole beans, kale, kohlrabi, and broccoli growing on the north side of my house.
I live in central/southeastern TX, and we're about to have some very uncharacteristic winter weather come through - lows in the upper teens are predicted for a couple of nights.
How much do I need to worry? I plan on watering heavily before it hits, then covering with blankets and a large tarp. I'll give the beans some extra attention; they've already been damaged by temps in the low 30s.
Can anyone from a typically cooler climate lend some experience?
