Acorn Squash Plant Damage - What Is It?

I can't offer an opinion about what might be happening to your squash plant, because the pictures you posted are too small. I can't see enough detail. Perhaps if you were to repost the pictures, following the instructions our Webmaster posted, we would be better able to help you.

I got my answer.. it was moles! But I got them out by putting garlic cloves around the base of my squash plants.. no more moles! I wonder if the squash will taste like garlic though?? Here's another question though. One of the squash fell off the vine just after it had formed. Why?
