I think my cumbers are sick. =T_T=

I planted my cucumbers about a little more than a month ago. I started them out in two little pots and transplanted them into 4 huge pots complete with sticks for them to grow on. Two days ago they started growing their male flowers.

I have been doing research but am not finding any answers. The leaves are turning a yellow-gray color. The bottom most leaves are the worst but as you go up the vine the leaves change to a healthy green.

Is this normal? This is my first time gardening and I feel I have surely made an error somewhere.

Please help. =T_T=

Cut off the leaves that don't look so good & leave the rest. I've cut quite a few off of mine & they are doing well. I have found that the cuke plants don't like to be soaking wet. When I went from watering the whole garden to only watering my Tomatoes & carrots, the Cukes started looking happier.
