Double Cropping

Here are some pictures of planting a soybean cover crop after sweetcorn. The soybeans add nitrogen to the soil while growing, and organic matter when I mow and till them in the fall.

This picture shows where I planted soybeans 3 weeks ago.------------------------And here it is today.

Here are the cornstalks of my later planting.

The same area after mowing.

The same area after tilling, before I sow soybeans.

Soybeans grow fast!
What do you have growing around the edge?

Upper right side is green beans that I have picked twice. Strawberries, tomatoes, and more green beans behind that.

Upper left is green beans that I planted after I dug potatoes. They should be ready to pick in 2 or 3 weeks.

Lower left is tomatoes (somewhere in there). It looks more like a really good crop of weeds with a few tomatoes in it.
I am going to use plastic to keep the weeds down next year.
