Organic spray use

Happy afternoon, all~

I had an infestation a few weeks back of some tiny, iridescent beetles, and other striped beetles. Also some very tiny beetles--then came the hoppers and some flat, brown bug that resembles or may be, stink bugs or squash bugs. I'm not really familiar with either of those. We typically don't have these insects up here but they certainly showed up once the garden began to grow!
My point is, having researched the use of sprays in vegetable (and flower) gardens, I purchased some neem oil as I wanted to stay away from chemical and unnatural repellents.
Has anyone had results using the oil against any of the above mentioned insects or any others, and does anyone know if the oil is potentially harmful to any particular vegetable or plant? The hoppers are causing the most damage and so it seems the flat beetle things are running a close second.

Many thanks!

Here's a post by a fellow Helpful Gardener who used neem vs. Japanese beetles:

Thank you :)

PS to all~

I had not noticed there is a forum just for organic pest controls here but I saw it today. I will go there and see what is in that forum as well.
