Moth ID?

Biggest moth I've ever seen in my yard... curious if this guy munches on foliage?

The body is around 1/2" wide.

It's a type of Sphinx moth, but I don't know what kind. Many moth adults don't feed. Their only function is to mate and reproduce. A lot of them don't even have functional eating organs.

Yeah the moth isn’t your problem it's the progeny it might leave behind that you should be a little concerned about. Check for eggs in the vicinity of where you found it.
