Love my Jalapenos

So I planted a multi-pepper garden consisting of four containers and 5 varieties in late May. Now that all my plants are really taking off and fruiting like crazy, I've been able to enjoy the occasional delcious raw pepper. On the Fourth of July, the crowd partying at my house decided to move the fireworks to a new location: our mouths! We picked two of the biggest jalapenos we could find and passed them around, taking bite after bite. I've never tasted such delicious jalapeno flavor, and did it bring the heat! My eyes were crying for 10 minutes at least, such a good feeling!

There's nothing like having fresh peppers around. You can't beat the taste and if you ever want to make an outrageous garden salsa, it couldn't be easier, or more delicious. This is my first season growing vegetables, and I'm certainly going have a pepper plant every summer after this!

If you find a plant you particularly like you could always bring it in for the winter. Peppers are perennials you know.
