* Broccoli
* Brussels sprouts
* Cabbage
* Cauliflower
* Collards
* Kohlrabi
* Lettuce & other salad greens
* Mustard greens
* Parsnips
* Rhubarb
* Scallions (young onions)
* Spinach
* Turnips

Just to name a few. Don't know where you are I live in MO near St. Louis. Or estimated first frost is Oct 8. Most of the fall plants should be started 6-10 weeks before the first frost. Depending on if you start indoors or out.

thanks for your reply, and thanks for ideas on what to grow in autumn!, I live in the south east uk, so I don't know if that makes much of a difference????? and being new to veggie growing have already made mistakes of planting the wrong things at the wrong time! lol!
I cant wait to be able to harvest and cook the veggies I grow!
happy gardening
