pest identification help

As the name implies, I am very new to this gardening thing. I have a small garden with tomatoes, peppers, okra and some herbs. The only thing that is doing anything at all is the okra and now I have a small worm(about the size of a grain of rice), black with white fuzzy spots. Sorry I don't have a picture. There also ants on my okra. Its seems to still be growing strong but I have noticed some small holes in the leaves. If anyone knows what this is and how to get rid of them I would appreciate it.

Can you post a picture of the little critter? That would be an immense help in ID-ing it.
