Who turned the heat on?

If it would get just a little bit hotter, we could pick our veggies already cooked straight out of the garden. There is already enough water in the air that I think I can see them starting to steam on the stem.

Just for comparison The Weather Channel said that the highest heat index ever recorded was 2 years ago in Saudi Arabia. 176*

Tell me about it! It rained the other day, and rather than cool down, I felt like I was being steamed!

LOL. This thread is so FUNNY I about fell out of my chair. The weather has suddenly shifted gears and yesterday it was 98 deg F heat index 108 degrees. I got out of bed at 6 am sun had been up only 30 minutes it was already 80 degrees. I went to the garden it was like a steam bath in 15 minutes I was so wet with swet it looked like I had been sprayed with the garden hose. I picked a basket of Blue Lake bush beans, 1 tomatoes, several bananna peppers and bell peppers. It will soon be time to start canning.

Posting from the boat in the middle of Lake Murray. I seem to have developed a stutter.

It's hot here too! And so humid--ugh! Can't stand it. I went out to water this morning and the plants were covered with droplets. I don't think it rained, though. It's just that humid.

If only we could garden through the window...

Hot here too, with about 100% humidity. It has been 95 degrees for like a week, with an occasional thunderstorm. I was hating the cold, now I am hating the heat LOL, oh well, it's summer so...

94 degrees, 90% humidity. Put in 3 hours mowing and weeding. I've only had a gallon and a half of water today. Only vegetables could love this. We work in the heat of the day because the mosquitoes wont come out when it's this hot.
