Does anyone know how to deal with spider mites.

I have pretty good luck using worm tea on all pests.

I think spraying the plants with a soap solution would take care of them. Be sure to use soap, and not a detergent. Dishwashing liquids are usually detergents.

Ashland, What is worm tea?

Kisal, If dishwashing soap is detergent not soap, what would you recommend? Can you suggest a couple of brand names? Thanks!

vintagejuls - tea made from redworm excrement. cut 7-to-1 with water. check out your local farmers market - someone will probably have red wigglers and "tea" to sell. or you can make your own; see Vermiculture at Google.

Soap can be little chips off of a bar of soap, or it can be something like Liquid Ivory.

I've used Kirk's Castile Soap and Neutrogena Fragrance-Free, both bar soaps, before, too. (The Neutrogena was "between bars of soap"; it's a little pricey to use this way....)
