Question about Bell Pepper Plants

Mine are just hanging out... they are about 2-3 inches tall and have been this way for about a month? I started them from seed in March (I think) and they've been in the ground since April. They look healthy, greeny/yellow in color. They are getting full sun and watered (rain or hose) daily. I've fertilized the entire container with organic fertilizer....... but the pepper plants .. they just aren't doing anything. Everything else seems to be doing just fine... what gives?

Peppers don't really get going until it's hot outside, which up here is usually sometime in late June into July. Not sure what the expectations are down in your area. No blossoms yet, either?

good question. Mine did the exact same thing last year. But I didn't start mine from seed I bought it and transplanted. This year I started mine from see and once transplanted I don't believe they've grown at all. I'm thinking about putting a soda bottle over one to see if the heat helps it take off.

I grew some peppers from seed and bought some plants from nursery. They are all healthy, some with buds and some with blossooms but it doesn't seem as though they've grown much. They are anywhere from 5-9 inches tall. I THINK it has alot to do with this lousy weather we've been having at least here in Ohio. Cool and rain. Hoping when we get our week or so of summer HA! HA! and some sunshine they will perk up.

Mine are the same. They just seem to be slow growing maybe? I have lots and lots of blossom buds on them, and they have grown. Some have grown more than others.

I checked today... and the stems are strong.... and they each have several leaves..... but that's it!

I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow.

Hmm, if you started them in march from seed I would expect there to be more than just 'several leaves'. If you post a pic I'm sure one of the lovely experts here will be able to help. I started mine march 20th here are a few pics. I have jalapeno, mini bell, and chili peppers.
