slugs on my cucumber plants, how to get rid of them? salt is to harsh!

I agree with you. As much as I abhor the damage the little critters do to plants, I cannot bear to salt them. Beer is much friendlier, I think. :lol:

Or else I just squash 'em. Sudden death is better than making them suffer.
