Is this something you bought in a pot then planted? If so, your plants are undergoing transplant shock.

Cucumbers, squash, cantaloupes, and melons are best started from seed planted where it will grow.

Oh I don't know about that... I've transplanted one or two or a thousand cukes and melon plants in my day... fully hardened plants, with uninjured root systems placed in warm soil , firmed well and given a shot of starter seems to work pretty well...

Only time I plant seed is if I want a back crop and don't feel like starting more plants... So I transplant seedlings and then plant seed... gives a nice spacing...

Have you closely examined the plant(s) to see if there are any insects or diseases present?
