Pollinating Watermelons???

I read several times in another post about fertilizing watermelons. How do you you do this? This is my second time growing Watermelons. I planted to many squash type plants and havent figured out whats what yet, except for a few. When the get blossoms what do I need to do?

I would recommend that you identify the specific types of squash before you pollinate them, because they are all cross-fertile. It won't make any difference in the fruit you get this year, but if you plan to save the seeds to plant next year, and the squash have cross-pollinated, you could get some fairly odd fruit next year. But that might be an adventure! :)

hmm didnt know that,,, figured since they are so similar.
a pumkeloupe? or waterchinni.. haa interesting.
